The Inspiration

Inspired by the Chai Kueh, a familiar Teochew favourite often enjoyed in Singapore homes and hawker centres, this design gives this traditional snack a fresh, modern take. Its crescent-shaped form and soft curves draw from the kueh’s delicate rice-flour skin, creating a silhouette that feels rounded, gentle, and easy to wear.

The pleated details along the flap and sides are a nod to the hand-pinched edges of a freshly made Chai Kueh. They add texture and character to the bag, while celebrating the care and craft behind every fold.

Lightweight and comfortable to carry, the bag sits naturally against the body and moves easily from everyday errands to special occasions.
